SOURCE TRANSPARENCY
How Masonic Events Are Verified
How MasonicEventsLA verifies Los Angeles Masonic event listings using official lodge, Grand Lodge, Scottish Rite, York Rite, bulletin, and calendar sources.
Source priority
MasonicEventsLA prioritizes the sponsoring organization’s own event page first, followed by recognized Grand Lodge or appendant-body calendars, regional Masonic bulletins, official lodge trestleboards or newsletters, and official organization social posts when needed.
Every published event should retain an official source link. When two sources disagree, the more direct and more recently updated official source takes priority.
Attendance, dates, and duplicates
The site does not assume that an event is public just because the information is visible online. If a source does not clearly state who may attend, the listing tells visitors to confirm with the host. Degree and appendant-body eligibility requirements are preserved rather than guessed.
Past one-day events stop appearing in Upcoming Events after their date. Multi-day events remain current through their final day. Duplicate versions of the same official event are consolidated into one canonical event page whenever possible.
Freshness and corrections
Official event sources are checked automatically on a recurring schedule, and the site records when the event feed was last refreshed. Because hosts can still make last-minute changes, visitors should use the original source before traveling or purchasing tickets.
